Dust off your cleats, Syracuse, it's Kickball time! Get ready to ditch the boring treadmill and embrace the glorious sunshine (or snowstorms, we don't judge) with the Syracuse Sports Association Sunday Double Header Kickball League!
This ain't your kid's nursery rhyme kickball, folks. We're talking adult-size fun, where competitive spirit mixes with laughter like tequila and lime. We've got three divisions:
(C) Recreation Renegades: New to the game? Come on down! Catch some fly balls, make some friends, and learn why "ground rule double" is not a euphemism for spilled beer.
(B) Intermediate Incinerators: You've kicked before, tasted victory, and crave more. Prepare for epic rallies, clutch catches, and post-game bragging rights (just remember, good sportsmanship comes first, even though you secretly want to rub it in a little).
(A) Advanced Assassins: The field is your kingdom, the ball your scepter. You've got strategy down to a science, trash-talking to an art form, and a trophy shelf groaning under the weight of past wins. Bring it on, champions!
Here's the juicy stuff:
8 glorious weeks of kicking, running, and laughing. (Plus playoffs! Everyone makes it, because everyone's awesome.)
12 doubleheader games to unleash your inner MVP. (That's right, two games of kickball glory every Sunday!)
Prizes for division champs who conquered the kickball kingdom. (Bragging rights not included, but highly encouraged.)
Free logo placement for your team sponsor on our "We Love Sponsors" page. (Because even kickball heroes need a sugar daddy.)
All the online action you can handle: schedules, standings, rosters, league news – it's like a digital shrine to your kickball prowess.
Now, the nitty-gritty:
Games are 8 innings of pure unadulterated fun. (Unless you strike out three times. Then it's just 7 innings of fun.)
Team up with as many kicking comrades as you need! (But only 15 can be in the kicking lineup on game day.)
Matching shirts are mandatory. (Think: coordinated chaos or custom masterpieces. Express yourselves!)
No down-shifting allowed. (if you are playing on a B or upper Division team you are not allowed to sub on a lower division team on the same night)
$50 deposit secures your spot, full payment by April 14th. (Don't be a latecomer, unless you like playing catch with the pigeons.)
Umpires: $15 per game.
Remember, good sportsmanship is key. (But hey, a little friendly banter never hurt anyone. Just keep it PG-13, alright?)
And the real kicker? The after-game. Local sponsors have their doors open for post-game victory (or consolation) laps. Mingle, munch, and relive the epic plays (or blame that rogue pebble for your strikeout). Because let's be honest, the real trophy is the memories (and maybe a free appetizer).
